The Cows Won

The Chick-fil-A cows, along with Orville Redenbacher, beat out the Burger King King, the Geico Cavemen, and other big time ad icons with much higher ad budgets. There's just something about those cows. Check it out here and here.

New contact info

We are finally settled in our new place. It's super cozy and very nice. It's smaller than our house but that is fine. I really am enjoying having less to clean. I swept the kitchen this afternoon in less time than it took for my snack-size microwave popcorn to pop. That's speedy.
Anyway, we have new contact information. And no, crazy people, I am not going to post it here. If you know us and love us and want to get in touch with us (or send us a Christmas card waaaayyy up here in PA), you can email me or comment and I'll get it to you. I love Christmas cards. Or any cards, really. Our emails and cells are the same.
I'll post pictures soon.

Our little poet

A few days ago Anna Kate was not her normal, cheerful self. The little sparkle was gone from her eyes and she was very solemn. I asked her again and again what was bothering her. She wasn't feeling physically sick. Nothing hurt. She wasn't sad about anything that she knew of. I finally sat her down on my lap and looked in her little face and said, "Anna Kate, what's wrong. Can you please tell me about how you feel?" She looked at me with her sad little eyes and said, "I guess my heart is asleep and she won't wake up."
I knew exactly how she felt when she said that. I'm glad I know what to call it now.

Cramped Quarters

We can all agree that our hotel room is a little small. But tomorrow it ends and we will be moving into our apartment. We are so ready for routine and a little more space.
This afternoon Jake walked from room to room...again. Max played with his legos, building castles and guns and spaceships. I checked my email...again...and Anna Kate was pretending that she was a momma that was at my house for a visit. All of a sudden Max burst into the room, dive-bombing us with his latest lego aircraft. Anna Kate sighed a long sigh and said, "Ugh. That guy lives at MY house. That's why I came to see YOU."

Hilarious.

What we saw today...

This afternoon as we were driving we saw a black object flying through the air. At first we thought it was some sort of large, trick kite or something.
Nope. It was a F-117 Stealth Fighter and it was so cool. So cool, in fact, that Chad gave me a high-five. We're dorks.

Jake's Birthday Party

We had a little "party" for Jake's birthday. Anna Kate and I went to the store and picked out a cake and some plates and got a candle. Jake thought it was terrific. He loved that cake! Although it wasn't the fanciest of parties, it was special and we will always remember it. Here are a few pictures...
