Riley Day 2008

July 1st marked 6 years since we lost Riley May. Each year we celebrate her little life by releasing balloons. This year we headed to the park with our balloons and found a quiet spot to release them. We had a special time together thinking about her and enjoying the children that God gave us to hold here on earth.

1 for your last post - I heart Anna Kate! I can't wait to squeeze her soon.

And for this one - I remember crying with you the first time you showed me Riley pictures, and visiting her grave with you, and just talking about it with you so much. My heart aches with you. And God remains so good. You honor Him with how you talk about it. With how you trust and love Him. And I know He uses you to comfort others who grieve. To pray like only those who know this pain can pray.
So, keep trusting, praying for others, comforting others with the comfort you have received, and keep remembering your sweet girl.

And as you remember her, my faith is stirred in hope of a God whose ways are so utterly different than ours, but who is wise and good.
