Another fun video
Yesterday we had so much fun introducing Max to new sounds. We had a great time teaching him to respond to his name. He did a GREAT job and is trying so hard. We are so proud of him and his motivation to learn to hear.
Here is a video of one of the "games" we were playing. We had him turn away from us. One of us would say his name and he would turn when he heard our voice. Enjoy!

I'm in tears. That is so cool.
This is the most exciting thing I've ever seen! This is what we prayed for when we met him for the first time in Kherson...what an amazing gift from the Lord!
I'm so very excited for y'all and praying along the way!!
Blessings,
Kate Ousley
Such wonderful, precious experiences and videos! God is wonderful and loves us so! Be sure and tell Max that Diane at IP is watching his videos and praying for you all. I would love to see you again! Perhaps soon!
We love the video!! How great for him to hear the things we take for granted. McCrae was so excited and even said, "Max won't get into trouble now." Not sure why he thinks the not hearing causes the trouble....yes I do. I always say to him, didn't you hear me!
I can hardly stand it! Oh how I wish we could sit on your familiar red floral couch call his name ourselves!! Congratulations Max and the whole Gerlt Family! We love you so much:)
this is really fun to watch and so exciting for all of you guys!
Smiling so big my face might crack with tears in my eyes. What a sweet, brave little warrior you have. His face is just full of joy. :0) I just LOVE the videos. Thank you for sharing them. Angel
Wow. Having viewed the Gerlt family from what may be refered to as a "removed" vantage point (meaning we just have not spent hardly anytime together), I offer this. It has the disadvantage of not being able to share good times, as well as the hard, with people you know you would enjoy dearly. Same token: It also offers the advantage of seeing so plainly your lives as the ongoing and upward development of a family who keeps God at the center of their circle. Everytime I get to peek in on you all, It is evident of the plans He had for each of you. Who knows where it goes from here? I am excited to see.
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, Plans to prosper you, Plans to give you HOPE and a FUTURE."
max rocks! it is so crazy to see him respond to his name!!! i am so excited for all who get to meet your precious max. he is such a blessing. he is a true investment. the dividends are plentiful, proving the work and sacrifice was great. i wis i could have encouraged you during the initial investment, but i sure am having fun reaping the benefit and love you all.
ohhh, this just made me smile! How exciting! I miss that kid so very much! (and ALL of you!!)
