Good Times at the Gerlt House

The interview went well. Kevin Hickey asked Erin about as many questions as he asked me, and they were all about who we are and how we got interested in Chick-fil-A. He brought up the store opening at the Hulen Mall in Ft. Worth and said they want to fill that store soon. They want the new operator for that store to take the July operator class, which starts around the 23rd and goes to August 29th (Dustin and Jamie's wedding is July 22, and Jake is due September 1). It I don't get the Hulen Mall it could be quite some time before another one in this area comes available, so obviously we're hopeing and praying that I will somehow get that store. Kevin told us to be expecting a call from him sometime between Friday the 26th and next Friday June 2nd.

Thought I would post some pictures of out trip to Missouri. My Grandpa is amazing. He's 80 years old and he still farms. Here's a picture of him carrying a 40 lb sack of feed about 50 feet to his truck.

He absolutely astounded me on our trip. He showed us the cemetery in Stover and I learned about my family's history. I even saw the gravesite of my great great grandparents. Max and Anna Kate's favorite things were the cows ("like Chick-fil-A" they both said) and Farley the dog.

Chad, you should be ashamed. Taking a picture of your granddad while he is working. Get over there and help him carry that sack of feed. Sheesh. And you claim to be from farm people...

Praying for the job in the mall. Can you hook me up with free stuff if I drop by? Sweet tea will be good enough. =D

Sheesh Slade, first you shame me for not helping my grandpa, then you ask for free food. You're not very good at getting stuff are you? I did help him, but then I realized he does this EVERY DAY while he is alone. It's amazing.
