Happy Fall!

We're enjoying this fall season and fall weather so much! What a wonderful idea that God had in creating seasons for us to enjoy.
Our kids are too much fun. Max and I have a great morning routine. I get him up around 7:15 and he gets dressed and ready for school. By then I have a little less than 1/2 a cup of my coffee left. He always asks to drink the rest and makes the funniest faces as he tells me how yummy it is. Then I refill my cup and we head outside to wait for the bus. The last few mornings we could see our breath and he gets a BIG kick out of that.
Anna Kate is constantly twirling around in her new Cinderella dress. She wakes up asking to put it on and wears it non-stop. She twirls and dances and curtsies everywhere she goes. She's such a little girl! So guess what she wants to be for Halloween...WRONG! She wants to be a pirate. Odd, huh? You'd think that the girl who's glued inside her Cinderella dress would want to be, well, Cinderella. But she is dead set on being a pirate! And she's the cutest pirate you've ever seen!

It's Cold Outside!

We're so excited that it was not 100 degrees today! Such a nice change. Overdue, but nice. We decided to celebrate this evening after baths with our first cup of hot chocolate this season. How fun! The kids had a blast. We spent the evening in the living room just enjoying each other. Chad and I snuggled on the couch while the kids ran off the sugar from their hot chocolate. It was a fun evening and I thought I'd share a picture! Hooray for Fall!

Our Kiddos

So here's a picture of our sweet kids. Max is 6 and Anna Kate is 3.

Max goes to kindgergarten and is doing so well. He made the honor roll and got perfect attendence. Since I've never gotten perfect attendence in anything IN MY LIFE I was most impressed. He loves to draw and play. He comes home from school every single day completely wet with sweat. He's red, stinky and smudged with dirt. Very "six year old". When he comes in the door we have a little joke. I tell him he smells like a frog and he tells me that he smells like flowers. Then we head straight for the bathtub! Max is a different kid than the one we picked up in Ukraine a year ago. The Lord has been so gracious to cultivate love and bonding between us.

Anna Kate is so much fun. We're big buds. She loves to sleep late in the morning just like me. But, since the rest of the world gets up before 10:00 am we're doing our best to adjust. Mornings are fun. I wake her up and then wait, sometimes 10 minutes sometimes an hour, for her first smile of the day. That's the best. She LOVES to sing. Her favorite is "My Jesus I Love Thee" and she can sing all four verses. It's precious. She's very into drawing and dress-up. We are so grateful for her precious life. She's a huge source of joy to us.
So we've got a blog. Cool. It won't be as creative as some. I don't know lots of cool blog terminology. I'm just not a cool person...but that's not my goal. My goal is to record my random musings. To have a place to put my thoughts, questions, and observations on going through life at our house. Life at our house is good. Chad love his job, Max loves his school, and Anna Kate and I love being home during the day and hanging out.
So we'll see. Maybe I'll post daily...probably not. I can hardly do anything daily. But I'll give it my best. Hopefully I can keep pictures updated so that you can see my sweet kids!
Enjoy reading or not! Leave me a comment if you choose. I'd love to hear from you.
